8/5 - No Decision and a Win

Well the master radiologist looked at the "third times a charm" MRI results and claimed insufficient data to make the determination as to whether the lesion closest to the inferior vena cava does involve the vein or not. They now want a CT abdomen test to make the call. I went scrambling through all my tests and found a CT chest but not a CT abdomen. Seems like they sould have swept the whoe trunk and we wouldn't be doing this again. I'm glad they are being as thorough as possible, however, for such an important decision.

I also received a message from Dr. Stribling that the AFP marker reading on Tuesday, In Dr Striblings words, “The one week of chemotherapy and the TACE last week dropped this count from 1500's to 900. That is a good sign”.

  1. It's good to hear the TACE seems to have worked! sorry you have to have another scan, but as you say, in a decision like this, it's important to have the best data available.
