8/26 - MD Anderson Visit

Well we (dad, mom, Jane and I) made the MD Anderson visit with Dr. Kaseb.  Learned that he specializes in liver cancer and works with a team of doctors to make decisions about patient care.   Not much more than that as he wants the CT scan data before crafting a treatment plan.   One encouraging thing he did say was that he would aggressively attack the lesion that is in my IVC and in danger of invading my heart.   It's his opinion that this could be the thing that kills me first if not addressed.   He doesn't like the TACE approach for reasons we found out, that the remnants get lose and find their way to the lungs.   So in whole I am encouraged and eager to hear more.    He is scheduling me to return on Monday to discuss the results of the CT scan and talk to me about the treatment approach.    If this sounds reasonable I might move all my continuing care to MD Anderson.
