Wednesday I went to work and at noon went out for chop day. In the car and the restaurant I got chilled and even though I wore my jacket for the rest of the afternoon I never got warm. I was then having trouble staying awake on the drive home. When I got home I checked my temp expecting it to be elevated. It was actually low at 96 trending toward hypothermia.
I immediately got in bed in fetal position and covered up in blankets. After about two hours of shivering my temp finally recovered and now was ranging 101 to 102, a fever. A fever I have more experience with and can regulate with fans and air conditioning.
Thursday morning I was still regulating the fever but was suffering from nausea to the point of realization. Still sleepy, feverish and nauseous I stayed home and slept most of the day. Time to try and eat now.
And things were going so well.
Sounds like your body is getting buffeted like 500 yards of moguls. You are one tough dude. Hang in there Bro! RW See Physics Today "The surprising motion of ski moguls" http://ptonline.aip.org/journals/doc/PHTOAD-ft/vol_62/iss_11/68_1.shtml?bypassSSO=1
ReplyDeleteOh that sucks Ray. Yes, things were going so well. I wonder what happened. Could it be like your cramps - painful nuisances that make fleeting appearances? Did you call your doctor? Do you have an electric blanket? Do they even sell them in Texas? ;)I hope the nausea goes away for you. And you should think about reducing your workbase to 3 days so you can rest more and heal.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear of your difficult past couple of days. Praying for you!

I hope whatever this is goes away very quickly, Ray. You must be very disappointed, to be so sick after doing so well. I hope you'll call the doctor today, if you're still feeling puny.
ReplyDeleteWe continue to pray for you all.
Sue.
Hope each day is better. It reminds me of the 6 million dollar man...we can rebuild him, faster, stronger.....That's what you are and more! Love ya cuz!
