6/17 - Some Good News

Thanks for the responses to my last post.  You may have picked up from my tone that I was having a crisis and was in need of a pick me up.   As bad as I have been feeling post surgery I was beginning to wonder if it would ever get better and if not I didn't have much to look forward to.  But it is always darkest before the daylight.

Wednesday was not fun as I could not stay warm and had a bought with nausea at Whataburger.   So I slept most of the day and all of the night to wake up Thursday feeling rested and energized.  Three squares and snacks were no problem and I was alert from 7am to 11pm.   Today is starting the same so I am hopeful that this will continue for awhile.

We are nearing the anniversary of my diagnosis from July 10th 2010.  Don't really know what significance to place on that but it's at least a milestone in this episode.

Thanks again for responding to my distress call.  Sorry about the blogspot quarks. I run into them time to time.

I'm better now.

  2. yay Ray! I am sorry I didn't pick up on your distress call - we are all always here for you - always eager for an update and probably assuming no news is good news. I know that July is the 1 yr mark for you. And you are still here despite all you have been through! I have a feeling you will be sticking around for a long time ;)

  4. Well, Ray, as you can see, I didn't spot the new post till today (Monday, the 20th). That's Fred's fault! ^_^ he hogs the computer on weekends.

I'm so glad to hear you were feeling better Friday, and I sincerely hope that you still are doing very well. You know we pray for you daily, for you and your family.

A year is, well, a year. Profoundity abounds. LOL!

  5. Ray Don,
Gary and I read regularly--just don't respond. We will do better! You are in our daily prayers for thankfulness and healing. You have proved the medical community wrong--I guess they didn't realize how stubborn you are! :) Anyway-- a trip up here is always open! Also I read the earlier comments and a scandinavian cruise would be AWESOME!!!! Also a Meditteranean cruise would be cool too! We love you lots! The kids ask about you at least once a week and that is really good for teenagers! HA!
