10/18 - Better Today

After surviving the weekend gasping for air with the aid of oxygen. Because of my distress they worked me in the schedule Thoracentisis on Monday. If this sounds familiar this is the same thing that happened a week plus ago. They only took 1.2 liters with a plan to put in a Denver Catheter which can be managed at home but the arrangements did not get made and thus this is getting replayed now.

This time I talked to the PA in Interventional Radiology (IR) and he scheduled a Denver Catheter install this Friday. A Denver Catheter is inserted inside the lung cavity and extends outside the just below the chest cavity. A simple procedure is required to drain which can be executed at home every two days if needed. You can fine info under google.

In the meantime the 1.7 liters they took out Monday should suffice to get me to Friday comfortably.

  1. Well, we'll see if this will post this time! the internet has been wonky today, cutting in and out at odd moments for no apparent reason.

I'm glad to hear that you're feeling better, Ray, and that they finally scheduled the catheter surgery.

    Keeping you in prayer--

    Sue.
