Sorry blogwatchers that it’s been so far between updates but I spent about half an hour on an update the other day and the computer rebooted with no warning. I’ll try again.
Well I had a busy week trying to shuffle work and all my medical appointments. It’s hard to get to work but I have so much to do that once I do make it into the office, the time flies. I have trouble sitting in a chair for a whole workday which limits the time I can spend working.
On Friday Jane and I spent the entire day up at MD Anderson. We saw Dr. Del Fabbro in Supportive Care and Dr. Colombo for a third testosterone injection. I told Dr. Del Fabbro about the issues I was having with getting to sleep and he prescribed me Melatonin 20mg, whereas the over counter options are low dose and not very well controlled. I took one that night and not only did I have a good night’s sleep but I was groggy all the next day.
Spent most of the days Saturday and Sunday watching football. Why is Texas A&M ranked higher than Texas but Texas gets the air time? Anyway both A&M and the Texans won so not a bad weekend overall.
I have appointments on Monday (PT) Tuesday and Wednesday (Family Doctor) this week.
I'm glad the prescription authorization went through! I must have brought you good luck since you can't sit in a waiting room without calling me and nagging me ;) ah ha ha !!!
ReplyDeleteRay, Fred says the same thing happens between Michigan State and University of Michigan: it's name recognition. (Michigan State was the first land-grant agricultural college in the country, as I'm sure you know —they were Michigan A&M for a while.) The two teams can have exactly the same record, and UofM will get chosen for a bowl game instead of MSU. My theory is that the UofM pays more money to the TV stations. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the melatonin helped you sleep, and hope the grogginess wears off after a few doses.
Sue.
Get a Mac. (Sorry, Ray -- Apple made me do it. 8-)
ReplyDeleteHope the prescription melatonin clears your sleep issues. Sleep is good.

Here's to hoping that your appointments go well this week, and that you continue to get good sleep! ~The Newts

ReplyDeletejust wait for A&M to get into the SEC and they will get plenty of tv time as they play in the BEST league of all. Even Tennessee gets on tv...not because they are any good, but because of who they play. Ha!
ReplyDeleteglad you got some rest and Happy Birthday to Janie..
love ya both,
