In the course of two weeks I have had to fill out pre-registrations with the Emergency Clinic, Hermann Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine Liver Center, St. Luke's Liver Transplant Center, St. Lukes hospital scheduler, Oncology Consultants, Caremark Pharmacy and now the St. Lukes Hospital for my appt on Friday. All the same info all punched into individual databases in each office, and three times within the same St. Luke,s system. We know how to fix this. Why don't we?
Good grief! I thought all of those computers already talked to each other. At the very least, the different places ought to be able to fax the stuff to each other. But then, I don't particularly want all of my medical information to be in one central computer, which anyone can access any time they want to....it's a predicament.
ReplyDeleteI suppose we could look at it as an employment program for all of the people who graduate from ITT Technical and similar places.
You must be feeling a bit frustrated. I would be.
