On Monday I sent a note to Sheere, Dr. Kaseb's nurse, and said I had shortness of breath and asked for an xray to see if I needed another drain of water from my lung cavity. By 10:00 AM I got a call asking me to come in for a thoracentesis at 7 AM Tuesday. Later I got a call from Sheere confirming the appointment.
So yesterday AM they took another 1.2 L of fluid from my lungs, this in addition to the 2 L they took earlier. I am breathing better already. I was in recovery for about 6 Hrs because the followup xray showed a small air pocket. Thus they held me for three more xrays to make sure the pocket was not growing. The concern was a lung puncture which could lead to a bigger issue. After all the xrays they were convinced that the air pocket was not a result of a lung puncture and let me go.
Glad you are better!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you didn't have a puncture, and are feeling better.

It's amazing. They actually can move fast sometimes. Wonderful that you are feeling better.
