Started Monday staring at four day work week. Ran out of energy on Monday and had to go home early. Got through Tuesday but subjected the office to the cough I have been hosting since early Dec.
My girls have been pushing me to see a doctor about the cough so Wednesday morning I accepted an appt with a GP here in Friendswood. After introducing myself and issue to the GP he wanted to council Jane and me of End of Life options. Not what I was looking for. As for the cough, my lungs are clear and the issue is sinus drainage. So, as doctors do, he sent me away with a prescription for Clariton and gave me some samples of neoDM, an expectorant. In the parking lot I took a couple swigs of the neoDM and within one minute or so I told Jane that I needed to throw it up. When I got home I went to bed right away and in about 1 hour I did expel what was left. This took me down all afternoon and night.
Thursday, back to work but faded before the end of the day. Could not stay warm so I drove home in my 100+ cab temp and at home warmed some blankets for my easy chair. It worked because later I was running a 102.4 deg body temp. Thus, Thursday was a long hard night.
Friday, staying home. I was going to see mother for her back surgery but in light of my week I don't need a hospital dujour takeaway. So I am taking vacation and the day to prep for the A&M vs LSU game this evening. Go Ags.
Oh Ray, that's awful - I am even more upset at the End of Life crap this guy was selling. Is he for real? What a BUMMER! Then he gives you his puke potion? Is he trying to kill you before you leave the parking lot? Your body is probably more susceptible to dehydration and purging like a supermodel doen't help. Look for someone else. You are not at the end of your life yet. Your body will tell you when you are. Enjoy the weekend and your games under your blanket.
ReplyDeleteWell, your boys lost the game, too. Sorry, Ray!
ReplyDeleteWhy are doctors like that? you didn't go to him for that type of advice. Geeminy!!
Hope you're feeling a bit better by now. I didn't see this post, because I haven't been on the "big" computer since early Friday. Fred likes to use it, as you know, so I don't always get time...
We continue to pray for you and your family.
Sue.
