Had a great weekend, pioneering on Saturday and surfing on Sunday
Went to the farm on Saturday and spent some time working on the cabin and clearing away the forest. Both my tool batteries and my battery gave up early and therefore I didn't get a whole lot accomplished. Took measurements and made plans for next trip. Did see a few dear tracks on the trails we had cleared earlier but my feeder was malfunctioning and thus no dear near the cabin.
Went surfing on Sunday. I have been eager to try out my new engine being 30lbs lighter than before and my strength. Got a new smaller wetsuit on Friday and went after the knee high Galveston waves on Sunday. Amazingly I stayed out for about 1.5 hours and still had enough energy to get the surfboard home. I will post pictures when I can get them off the phone. So my efforts to work my upper body strength payed off and I had so much fun that my energy held up. That's the way surfing is. You keep riding over and over until you are worn to a nub just because it's fun. The Beach Boys said it best "Catch a wave and your sitting on top of the world."
Ray, that's fabulous! I've been so looking forward to a post like this one! Can't wait to see the photos. :)
