7/13 - Breathing Easier

As I reported earlier Dr. Kaseb wanted to drain fluids from my abdomen, paracentesis, and my left lung cavity, thoracentesis, stet. Well that meant today and they took 60 mm fluid from my abdomen and 2 liters from my left lung cavity. I started breathing better even during the procedure. There goes my weight gains.

Anyway I am now able to walk around the block without so much huffing and puffing. If I thought I was feeling good before then I should be way better now.

Just need to load up on protein and workout some more. Also, Dr. Kaseb has me scheduled for an appointment with the Supportive care team to guide me through this buildup.

  1. SO happy you're feeling & breathing much better! Not sure what you meant by "buildup," though, at the end of your post. I'm assuming it refers to your protein & workout regimes. Bon appetite!

  2. Yea for breathing. It really is a good thing. Now, that you are better, come join us at the garden spot of west Texas, Cone, for a week at Harmony Plains Singing School. You were among the early students and this will be our 48th year. Love as always, Cathie

  3. I know how much better you feel, Ray, being able to breathe again! I have asthma and I had severe pneumonia. I couldn't walk across a room without huffing and puffing, let alone around a block! I'm amazed you were able to go that far, with that much fluid in your lungs and other cavities.

It's great to hear that you're feeling better. We pray for healing and strength for you, and for your family, daily.

    Sue.
