The trip to Cambridge by way of Albany and out by Manchester was a success. Was a little early for full fall color where we were but we got smatterings of the yellows, rust, red, flaming red here and there. Being Early all the trees were fully clocked so it was nice.
Held up well the entire trip. The hotels all have exercise rooms so I was getting some aerobic exercise as well as some strength training. I'm not a fatigued as the previous week and am not having any trouble eating.
The next challenge is I am scheduled for an EGD on Tuesday. This is procedure to inspect, make repairs, and band the varices in digestive tract. This is preventative to avoid a rupture which could turn into an emergency situation. The last time I did this they put me on a liquid food diet, followed by soft foods. Have to be careful not to dislodge the bands until they have time to take effect. After the EGD, I should be free of doctor intrusions until Nov when MD Anderson will repeat the cat scans and assess progress.
yay - home sweet home! Glad you fared well for the entire trip, Ray. It was fun having you up. Good luck Tuesday and maintain your balance of work, exercise and lots of rest. Are you still getting up at 5 am? When did you turn into a farmer?
ReplyDeleteWhat good news, Ray! We're so glad you're recovering quickly. May God continue to hold you and your family in the palm of His hand.
